The teachers are committed to providing an environment that nurtures the whole child (body, mind, and spirit) to be all he or she can be by the grace of God. This environment will help to prepare the child for many varied school adventures and for living in today’s world.
The vision of GUMC Shining Lights Preschool, together with the home and church, seeks to equip and nurture our children for a life of joyful Christian service based on God’s word. We strive to create an environment in which each person can discover and celebrate his or her uniqueness and appreciate the gifts and needs of others. Our children are led to discover the wonders of God’s creation, to develop a Christian perspective of life, and to critically weigh the issues of the day. Recognizing our God-given responsibility, it is our purpose to train our children to serve God and neighbor and to educate them to be faithful stewards of God’s world.
